Hollis Robbins is an experienced educator and leader in higher education and government relations. With over two decades of public profile, she has instilled financial oversight and budgeting, strengthened working with boards of directors, and led strategic planning for various organizations. Her academic focus ranges from African American literature to film, film music, poetry, and artificial intelligence.
Hollis has earned multiple degrees, including a Doctor of Philosophy in English Language and Literature/Letters from Princeton University, a Master of Arts in English from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, and a Bachelor of Arts from The Johns Hopkins University.
She has served as the Dean of Arts & Humanities at Sonoma State University, the Director of Center for Africana Studies and a faculty member at Johns Hopkins University, and many other capacities in various organizations. She has also served as a Health Policy Advisor at Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains and as a Public Policy Associate at Squire Patton Boggs.
She is a former Fellow at the National Humanities Center and has also worked on the Faculty Editorial Board at Johns Hopkins University Press. Hollis is a former Member of the Board of Directors at Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union and an accomplished author.
