Jeffrey Asher is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in senior-level management positions in profit and non-profit organizations. He has directed marketing activities, applied R&D and testing activities, and been involved in strategic planning and new product development. He's known for his expertise in consumer product testing, large project management, organizational leadership, technology transfer, high tech research and development activities.

Asher earned a Ph.D. and MSAE in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, respectively, and a BSME in Mechanical Engineering, from Syracuse University. He volunteered his consulting services to help people earning less than a dollar per day in emerging nations to make their lives more secure, and is the President and Owner of Sustainable Livelihoods.

Before starting Sustainable Livelihoods, Asher was a freelance contributor at Pawling Press, Vice-President and Technical Director at Consumer Reports, Manager of Applied Research at Mechanical Technology Inc., and Research Center Manager and Technical Contributor at General Electric.
