Member of the Emerging Business Team at IDA Ireland, the government agency responsible for promoting and securing foreign investment in Ireland.  Based in our Austin office, I work with high growth companies across 11 states to support their international expansion and leverage Ireland for further growth opportunities.

VP Emerging Business, Southern USA

Led Enterprise Ireland’s Digital Technologies activities across the Southern US region.  Key responsibilities included:  

•Development and execution of market entry/expansion plans for both early stage and advanced Irish technology companies.  

•Working with North American and Ireland-based sector teams to collaborate on robust plans for key Enterprise Ireland clients, with a focus on delivering significant impact on their exports into US market.

•Development and launch of Enterprise Ireland USA’s Digital Technologies strategy for the Southern US.

•Building relationships within key US-based companies and providing connections to Irish tech companies.  

•Increasing awareness amongst Irish companies of the market opportunity in the Southern USA region.

•Delivery of key marketing & event programs to raise the profile of Irish innovation within the region.

Enterprise Ireland

VP, Digital Technologies

Primarily focused on the FinTech & Financial Services sector. I contributed to the success of Enterprise Ireland's client companies by supporting them to access market opportunities, win global sales and build and develop their business in the USA. Key responsibilities included:

•Working with both established and start up clients across numerous areas including market validation, channel strategy, marketing and sales resources, and introductions to buyers.

•Analysis of business models in order to professionally evaluate business plans to prepare cases for investment support.

•Planning and execution various events including trade shows, government ministerial itineraries, market, buyer, and client visits.

•Assisting Irish FinTech & FS companies in securing, maintaining, and growing key accounts in US market.

Worked for RBS in London (Capital Resolution division) as a member of the Banking Book Deal Execution Support team, where I was responsible for assessing the completeness of documentation retained for a given loan based on the banking product, which also involved working with the relevant Relationship Manager to assess the key documents that needed to be retained post closure of the Capital Resolution division.

Data Analyst

Financial Engineering Consultancy Programme: Involves working with cliental organisations, which include Tier 1 investment banks and the world’s leading hedge funds, where I fulfil Support and Business Analyst roles across front, middle and back-office operations.

I initially worked with RBS within its Non-Core division in Belfast which is central to the bank’s aim of reducing its balance sheet and stabilising its risk profile.  Core skills that I have utilised and developed include efficient data gathering and management; relationship management; and analysis of various aspects of asset portfolios.

Non Core engagement in the UB Portfolio Disposal Program. I worked within the clients' Non Core division. The Non-Core program was central to the client's strategy of reducing its balance sheet, stabilising funding and moving towards a lower risk profile. Central to delivering on its portfolio disposal programme was data enablement and deleverage solutions.

 Core skills developed include: 
 - Efficient data gathering i.e. collating and scraping data not held in structured format in client systems and from current system extracts, as well as data collection exercises with staff.
 - Data management i.e. data review, validation, cleansing, formatting and extract creation.
 - Data Manipulation i.e. detailed portfolio segmentation, stress testing and analysis.
 - Deleverage specific analysis i.e. asset valuation, capital implications & relationship impact 
 - Data presentation i.e. returning portfolio information to bank stakeholders.
 - Relationship management i.e. working with the business to extract information and deliver to business requirements.

Ulster Bank

Internship with the Foreign Commercial Service where I assisted the Head of Section and the CS Dublin team in the implementation of the office’s core program activities of export promotion, commercial diplomacy and investment promotion. Responsibilities included conducting market research, providing support for trade events, reaching out to companies and other organisations, as well as assisting in trade advocacy.
