Kevin Hylton, Ph.D., is a highly experienced researcher, evaluator, educator, business owner, and social entrepreneur with nearly 20 years of professional experience. He currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Technical Services at Alliances for Quality Education, Inc. (AQE), where he is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of federal projects aimed at improving the educational and health outcomes of underserved populations. Before joining AQE, Dr. Hylton worked as a Research Scientist for The MayaTech Corporation, where he led several national evaluation projects for the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). He has also worked as an academic advisor and adjunct professor at various colleges and universities throughout the U.S., including the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and the University of Maryland University College (UMUC). Dr. Hylton's areas of expertise include medical sociology, urban sociology, demography, HIV/AIDS, minority participation in clinical trials, and poverty and health status. He has published multiple book chapters and journal articles on these topics throughout his distinguished career. Dr. Hylton earned his Ph.D. in Sociology from Howard University, where he was awarded the SUNY Minority Fellowship, the American Sociological Association Minority Fellowship, Fogarty International Fellowship, and the Howard University Dissertation Award.
