Tanay Uzgan
Tanay Uzgan is an accomplished researcher and scientist with a strong background in Basic and Industrial Microbiology. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in the field from the prestigious Ege University. Currently, he is pursuing a doctoral degree in the Department of Basic and Industrial Microbiology at the same university.
Tanay Uzgan's research expertise centers around molecular identification of tomato pathogenic Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. lycopersici and investigation of the pathogenicity genes. He has also conducted research on the determination of vegetative compatibility by identifying nitrogen mutants of the same organism.
He has presented his work on Major Depressive Disorder at the Dokuz Eylül University Department of Neuroscience during his master's degree. He has also completed internships at the İzmir Institute of Technology Faculty of Science Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, where he conducted research on antibiotic resistance and the effects of mitochondrial DNA on yeast cell aging.
