Andrew Wigfall

Andrew Wigfall is a seasoned legal professional with over 30 years of experience in private practice and currently serves as the Head of Legal at Balderton Capital, a prominent European technology venture capital firm.

In his role at Balderton Capital, Andrew leads a legal team responsible for handling investments in European technology businesses, fund matters, portfolio company relations, exits, internal legal affairs, and compliance.

Prior to joining Balderton Capital, Andrew held various key positions including being on the management board of a large UK law firm, head of the VC practice, and co-chair of the IBA Corporate Law and M&A Committee.

Throughout his career, Andrew has been recognized for his expertise in venture capital matters, consistently earning top-tier ratings by industry publications such as the Chambers Legal Directory and Legal 500. He was also a finalist in the 2018 Legal 500 lawyer of the year award.

Andrew Wigfall holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from King's College London and has professional experience from reputable organizations such as Marriott Harrison LLP, Nabarro LLP, Turner Kenneth Brown, and Lawrance, Messer & Co.
