Butch Anton is a visionary technology leader, widely recognized in the industry for his exceptional technical skills and abilities. With a vast expertise ranging from providing technology vision to companies and engineering teams, to managing, growing and licensing IP portfolios, he has a wide range of accomplishments under his belt. Anton is known for his outstanding public speaking and technical presentation skills, particularly in high-level executive forums, where he excels in driving standards bodies in directions that best benefit the company.

Anton's career journey began at Interand, where he started as a Senior Systems Administrator and Programmer. He subsequently worked at Transarc and HP as a Kernel Engineer and a Systems Designer, respectively, before joining Taligent as a Senior Engineer and Project Lead. Anton later joined NASA/Ames, then Computer Sciences Corporation, where he served as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff.

Anton's work history also includes a stint at iPass, where he served as Chief Architect before joining DreamLogic, where he co-founded the company, served as CTO, and Executive Vice President. He later became CTO at Gemtek Systems, then VP of Advanced Technology at hereUare Communications, and Lead Server Architect at Asurion. Anton later served as Chief Architect at CoTweet, Founder and CTO at Wi-Tech Consulting, and Instructor at UCSC Extension Silicon Valley.

Currently, Anton is the Director, Customer Innovation & Strategic Projects at SAP, where he evangelizes technology both internally and externally. He has also grown companies from ground zero through millions in revenue and rolled up his sleeves to get his hands dirty writing code. Anton is a graduate of the University of Chicago, with an S.B in Pure Mathematics with Computer Science Specialization.
