David Perell is an accomplished writer, teacher, and podcaster, who has helped countless individuals around the world realize the potential of online writing. David's work has been widely recognized, with his courses attracting students from over 40 countries, including major corporations like Intel, Google, and Twitter. He is on a mission to empower individuals to share their ideas with a global audience, in this age where anyone can freely express themselves online.
David is a graduate of Elon University, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Media Arts and Entertainment. He has also studied varsity golf and has earned a First Team All League Award from the Bay School of San Francisco. Throughout his career, he has held various positions in customer service, sales, social media, and marketing, gaining valuable experience in these fields.
David's passion for writing, teaching, and mentoring is evident in the founding of Write of Passage, an online course that teaches students how to write, build audiences, and engage with their readers. The course draws on his own personal experience of writing online and his numerous conversations with successful entrepreneurs and creators through his podcast, The North Star Podcast.
As an Emergent Ventures fellow, David is supported by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. He has been fortunate to interview numerous high-profile guests, including astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, author Seth Godin, and economist Tyler Cowen.
