The system needed to create user accounts in Active Directory, add the user to the Radius group, and set the RAS permissions for dial-in.  Integration with a payment gateway was essential for providing real-time credit card processing.  It was developed with ASP 3 communicating with Visual Basic COM objects to an Access data source.  The system is completely scalable and can work with SQL Server by simply changing the connection string.Project: My Crafts PlaceMy Crafts Place was an online portal for crafters to list their products for sale.  Included in the membership fee was a personal, template based craft store.  By simply filling in a few forms and uploading a couple of pictures, crafters had a fully functional E-commerce store for selling their crafts.  All operations are automated and the system needed to be extremely easy to use due to the non-technical nature of the customer base.  My Crafts Place, which had over 500 members and thousands of craft listings, was developed with ASP 3, Visual Basic COM objects, and used SQL Server 7 for data storage.And Others

Projects were completed both in a team environment and independently and included:Point-of-Sale System independently designed, coded, tested, and implemented in VB6 with Access 97 on the client side and SQL Server 7 with stored procedures on the server side.   System was used in 157 stores, saving the company over $500,000 compared to various 3rd party solutions.  Functions included sales, layaways, customer follow-ups, time clock, multi-level reporting, purchase orders, and various management reports written in Crystal 8.Commission application used to pay sales commissions and store bonuses for over 800 employees.  The program gathered and analyzed P.O.S. data, determined eligibility, and paid commissions based on strict criteria.  The automation of commissions saved the company over $25,000 a month while preventing human error and employee abuse.Headed a team of programmers in full cycle development to generate an application that paid employee bonuses on various vendor sales specifications.Corporate Refund application to track, verify and pay refunds to over 3000 customers per month.Appending program that verified and inserted over 5,000 transactions a day from each store's P.O.S. data to SQL Server databases at the corporate office.Various executive level, analytical Crystal Reports utilized to make daily business decisions.
