John Wong, an internet veteran, co-founded Catcha.com Ltd with Patrick Grove back in the early 2000s. He was responsible for the technology aspects of the business, from network hardware infrastructure to web service development. He established a team of over 100 who handled the company's systems, database administrators, front end developers, and designers. Later, John founded ABOVE, focusing on fashion accessories and consumer products. Also, ABOVE diversified into e-commerce, partnering with eBay and Amazon and selling over 40,000 SKUs worldwide.
In 2013, John established FaveChic to curate and aggregate fashion products offered by Chinese, Japanese, and Korean marketplaces for Southeast Asians. Two years later, it spun off Favevy, a social media platform for fashion lovers. John's passion in web development, particularly on web design and online retail, translated into iBeau, an online beauty shop that mainly retails top brands of skin care, fragrance, and cosmetics from Australia, Europe, Japan, South Korean, and the United States.
John Wong finished GCE A-levels in Economics, Physics, Mathematics, and Further Mathematics from Catholic Junior College in Singapore. His Bachelor's degree was in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Communications from Nanyang Technological University.
