Consultant Social Sustainability at Elton Consulting

I am currently working as a Consultant at Elton Consulting in the Social Sustainability team. My role involves working on a variety of projects, particularly those in the strategy and policy space. I provide project support, conduct engagement with stakeholders, such as interviews and focus groups and assist with data and thematic analysis and report writing.

I completed a placement with TfNSW working in the Community Engagement team as part of the Transport Access Program. I assisted with preparing engagement collateral and liaising with project team members and the community about specific projects.

I worked as an intern at not-for-profit organisation, Thread Together. I worked in the warehouse, sorting clothes and packing orders, and worked in the office, writing blog posts and undertaking other media related tasks. I also worked in the clothing shop where I helped customers select pieces of clothing using their vouchers.

I visited Nepal for 1 month in January 2018 to participate in a volunteer program. I assisted at a primary school in Pokhara Lakeside where I would help in the classroom with English classes, particularly mathematics. In the afternoons I visited a home for boys who have experienced difficult family and living environments. I assisted with their homework and joined them in after school fun.

I began working in the Bakery department before working as a service attendant, serving customers at the self-serve and express checkout and assisting with any enquiries.

I worked in a boarding school in the UK for 12 months. During the day I would assist in the classroom by doing a one-on-one reading with certain children or helping the teacher where needed. I also helped out with sports lessons and would sometimes be asked to think of my own activities to do with the children, as well as refereeing and coaching hockey teams. In the afternoon I would look after the children in aftercare and that would lead into the evening where I would assist in the boarding activities and providing the children with supper. I would also work on reception, answering phone calls and performing administrative tasks.
