Carlos Meira, a researcher at Embrapa, is a renowned expert in technology and informatics related to agriculture. With a PhD in Agricultural Engineering from UNICAMP and a Master's degree in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics from USP, he is truly a multidisciplinary professional. Carlos has also taught at the University of Campinas as a collaborating professor in the Graduate Program of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, specializing in Rural Development and Agriculture Systems Management with a focus on data mining and knowledge discovery in agriculture. Over the years, Carlos has participated in several R&D projects in the field of agroinformatics, conducting research in decision support systems, disease and pest modeling, and data mining. He is also the former President of the Brazilian Association of Agroinformatics, serving from 2016 to 2017. Carlos Meira is further recognized by his CNPq scholarship for Technological Development and Innovation Extension and his membership on the Technology and Innovation Program for Agriculture's Advisory Committee.
