Joaquin Frias, a Spanish native, is a passionate Spanish language teacher who moved to the US in 2002. He received numerous requests to teach Spanish while pursuing his corporate career, leading him to start teaching at local community organizations, colleges, and universities. He recognized inadequacies in the traditional teaching methods and positive feedback from students gave him the impetus to open Studio Espanol in 2013.

He is dedicated to imparting the eloquence of the Spanish language and its various speaking cultures, focusing on conversational Spanish rather than the ordinary approach used in traditional classrooms. His company has developed a successful franchise-able model that offers online and on-demand classes, providing Spanish language training to adults, corporates, school-age students, and people doing business in Spanish-speaking countries, who can learn the language to enhance their productivity.

In addition, Studio Espanol offers training and resources for interested individuals who want to set up their own studio to experience the freedom of teaching Spanish the way they desire and on their own schedules. Joaquin is an adjunct professor who has worked with multiple universities in the US, including Marygrove College, University of Detroit Mercy, and Oakland University, teaching Spanish. He has also held various management positions with Comerica Bank and Photokin in New York and Madrid, respectively.
