Brooke Phan is a driven educator and scholar with a wide range of teaching experiences in France, Singapore, Taiwan, and California. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Political Science from Haverford College, a Master of Arts in French Language and Literature from Middlebury College, and a Master of Arts in Teaching Education from UC Irvine. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Sciences and Comparative Education at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her academic interests are centered around global citizenship education, particularly examining ways to reform social studies curriculum and re-engage youth for civic engagement.

Phan has taught various courses in social studies, French, and history across different schools and districts. She has held various positions, including being a High School Social Studies Teacher at Pacific Academy, Upper School History Teacher at Taipei American School, and High School History Teacher at Singapore Ministry of Education. She has also worked as the Academic Program Coordinator at National City Unified School District and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UCLA's Department of Asian Languages and Culture.

Along with her passion for teaching and learning, Phan is dedicated to promoting social and civic engagement among the youth. Her research aims to investigate how to engage and motivate students into becoming active and responsible citizens of the world.
