Later he pursued his long-term interest in the IT industry and rose from a System Engineer to a Director in a global organization, managing Emerging Services and Technology, Infrastructure at Visa Worldwide Pte Ltd.

His achievements throughout the years include, but are not limited to, being a Regional Business Manager, Services Practice Asia Pacific and Japan at Sun Microsystems Pte Ltd. From Support Delivery Manager at Primefield Co Pte Ltd to Enterprise Manager (Singapore), HP Services at Hewlett-Packard, he never backed from taking up challenging roles.

Tan's analytical-mindedness and seniority in managing critical situations have helped him identify opportunities and solutions. He is skilled in business and operations with a knack for troubleshooting organizational structures, processes, and business issues.
