Ashutosh Saxena
Ashutosh Saxena, an accomplished professor and AI expert, is revolutionizing comfortable and safe living through "AI homes". After earning his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University under the guidance of Andrew Ng, he became a professor at Cornell and founded the RoboBrain project, a joint venture between Stanford, Berkeley, Brown, and Cornell, to develop a knowledge engine that allows robots to learn from internet videos and share their learnings in the physical world with each other. He is also the founder of Cognical Katapult, which he co-founded and will be publicly listed in 2021.
Dr. Saxena is currently the founder and CEO of Caspar.AI, a company named to CB Insights' fourth annual AI 100 ranking, showcasing the most promising private AI companies in the world. He built deep learning methods for robots to perform tasks such as unloading items from a dishwasher, reminding the elderly, and performing other tasks in the home. In recognition of his substantial contributions to artificial intelligence, Dr. Saxena has 12,000+ citations, and has won numerous awards, including the SF Business Times 40 under 40 (2020), TR35 Innovator Award by MIT Technology Review (2018), and the NSF Career Award (2013). Dr. Saxena holds a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
