Skye Borgman is a skilled Director/DP of documentary films whose work combines evocative storytelling with beautiful, authentic visuals. Armed with an MFA in Film and Television Studies from USC and a BFA in Theater from Cornish College of the Arts, Borgman has built an impressive career in film and television production.
As the Director/DP of the critically acclaimed film Abducted in Plain Sight, Borgman brought her unique vision to bear in telling the story of Jan Broberg, a young girl who was abducted and sexually abused by her neighbor in the 1970s. Borgman's work on the film has earned her widespread recognition for her ability to approach difficult subjects with sensitivity and nuance.
Before directing Abducted in Plain Sight, Borgman worked as the Owner and Director of Photography at Top Knot Films, as well as holding DP roles at GRB Entertainment, Conquest Sports, and as an independent contractor. Throughout her career, Borgman has been driven by a desire to use film as a tool for amplifying the voices of people who may be underrepresented in mainstream media.
