Russell Klein is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in public relations, program management, zero waste event management, community engagement, and education. Russell has a Bachelor's degree from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick, and has studied at CTY and U.S. Green Building Council. He is the current Director of Business Development at 101 Mobility, an organization that provides mobility and accessibility solutions. In his previous roles, he was the Regional Account Manager at AuditPRO, Director of Community Engagement at RePurpose Depot, and Program Analyst at DC Department of Public Works.

Russell's expertise in program management is evident from his success in creating and managing a multi-layered, annual internship program for four years that involved regional college students, national waste industry executives, and benefiting DC-area businesses and public schools. He also transformed the waste reduction practices of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, co-launched the Office of Sustainability at Howard University, and initiated the model for current recycling practices used by DC Public Schools.

Russell has an impressive track record of public relations accomplishments, having secured numerous mass media features on behalf of Houston’s RePurpose Depot within the first nine months of its operation. He also excels at zero waste event management, as demonstrated by his successful management of solid waste logistics for a music festival with 12,000 attendees, achieving 50% diversion in Year 1.

In addition to his professional experience, Russell has been involved in various organizations and initiatives, including the Material Resource Sustainability Internship, DC neighborhood organizing, and US PIRG. He also has experience as an Environmental Education Program Coordinator and English Second Language Instructor.
