Jacob Worek

Jacob Worek is an accomplished Event Professional, Safety Geek, Storyteller, Organizational Mechanic, and Entrepreneur. With over 20 years of experience in the live event industry, Worek wears numerous hats, including venue management, business development, event sponsorship, production management, and audio engineering. He currently serves as Director of Operations and the Swiss Army Knife of the Event Safety Alliance.

Worek holds twin Bachelor's Degrees in Occupational Safety and Telecommunications from Eastern Michigan University and Columbia Southern University, respectively. Additionally, he has an OSHA 30 and Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certifications, which is a testament to his commitment to safety. He is active in Seattle's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program and is the father of two young daughters, a fact that has contributed to his unwavering safety-focused approach.

Worek's passion for safety is grounded in his belief that safety knowledge should be available to every individual in the live events industry, regardless of their background or resources. As the aging punk in his profession, he leverages his education, experience, and DIY ethic to make safety financially accessible and relevant to basement shows, street festivals, small clubs, and warehouse parties, alongside the world's largest festivals. His goal is to foster open communication and situational awareness to create a safe working environment.
