Mickias Hailu is an accomplished finance professional and venture capitalist focused on using technology to better the lives of consumers and businesses. Hailu holds a bachelor's degree from Syracuse University in finance with a minor in global enterprise technology and a graduate degree from Harvard Business School. Hailu has held various positions within the Hartford and Ready companies. At the Hartford, he worked in M&A and strategic ventures and as an LDP analyst in both wealth management and IT finance. At Ready, Hailu worked in partnerships and new products before becoming a venture fellow at the Black New Venture Competition & Tech Master Series. As a Rock Venture Partner at the Arthur Rock Center for Entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School, Hailu helped guide entrepreneurs on their path to success. Currently, Hailu is a FinTech investor at Portage Ventures and was also an MBA intern at Core Innovation Capital.
