Katie Dunn, a senior platform engineer with over ten years of industry experience across multiple sectors, has made a name for herself as a tech leader and mentor. Currently a member of Twitter's machine learning platform engineering team, Dunn previously served as tech lead of the engineering team responsible for building enterprise-grade historical search products before moving to Honey, and later the Democratic National Committee. Her experience includes designing and implementing large-scale data warehouses, migrating to NoSQL data storage, building Apache Beam pipelines, Kafka, and Airflow workflows, among others, as well as leading teams and mentoring junior engineers. Dunn earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
