André Covas is a versatile designer and art director with extensive experience in various fields, ranging from user interface design and corporate image to editorial and graphic design. He holds a Degree in Design from the Universidade de Aveiro and studied Fine/Studio Arts at Escola Secundária Carlos Amarante.

Currently serving as Global Lead Designer at Metyis, André has previously held various design-related positions, including Design Director at Semibreve Festival, Art Director at Expedição, UI & UX Designer at Casa da Música, Mobile Senior Team Manager & Head of Mobile / UX & UI Designer at ALERT Life Sciences Computing, S.A, and UX/UI Designer at ALERT Life Sciences Computing, S.A. He was also a Co-Founder & Art-Director at PAD, a freelance writer/editor at Vice Portugal Lda, and a UXUI Designer at Eurheo European Master Course.

In addition to his design work, André is a visual artist and musician, collaborating with Carmo Azeredo as a duo and releasing solo and collaborative music.

With a broad range of experience across multiple industries, André brings a unique perspective to his design work, delivering creative solutions that capture the client's vision while meeting user needs.
