Court Smith is a highly experienced business strategist with extensive knowledge in shipping and energy market domains, regulatory compliance, and HR. He has previously served in the US Coast Guard, leading the Casualty Investigations Division for the Bering Sea fisheries and obtaining a license as a US 3rd Mate and 3rd Engineer, Unlimited Tonnage. Smith has also worked as a ship broker, reporter, analyst, and consultant, executing new-build projects, second-hand vessel transactions and leading teams of analysts at firms, including Poten & Partners, VesselsValue Ltd, and ADNOC Group, among others.

Smith holds an MBA in Strategy, Marketing, Change Management from Said Business School, University of Oxford, and a Dual BS in Marine Engineering/Marine Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy. He also studied Grad. Diploma in Command and Staff at U.S. Naval War College and MA in Human Resource Management at Webster University.
