Xavier Duportet
Xavier Duportet is an accomplished Genome Architect and CEO of EligoBio, a biotechnology company that leverages CRISPR technology to fight bacterial infections. He is also the President of Hello Tomorrow, a global non-profit organization supporting deep tech startups, and has been recognized as a MIT TR35, WEF Tech Pioneer, Forbes 30 Under 30, and Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
Duportet has a diverse educational background including a Scientific Baccalaureate from Institution des Chartreux and a PhD in Synthetic Biology and Genome Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and INRIA (France). He also holds a Master of Science in Synthetic Biology and Molecular Biology from Institut Pasteur, a Master of Engineering in Biotechnology and Agronomy from AgroParisTech, and a Master of Science in Synthetic Biology, Systems Biology, and Computer Sciences with Highest Honors from CRI - Centre de Recherches Interdisciplinaires.
Prior to his role at EligoBio, Duportet co-founded and served as President of Hello Tomorrow and Deeptech Founders, as well as a Board Member of Green Spot Technologies. He was also a former Senior Advisor to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, and a former Member of the Strategic Advisory Board at Université Paris-Saclay.
