After graduating from Centre College with a B.S. in Math and Physics, he went on to receive an M.S. in Physics from Dartmouth College. He furthered his education by obtaining an M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University - Weatherhead School of Management.

Over the years, he has held distinguished positions at several prestigious organizations. He served as the President of Radiant Electric Heat and was an Executive Partner at Portage Notebooks. Additionally, he worked as Vice President and Director at Solarflo Corporation and as an Asset Manager and Investment Analyst at Seagate Investment Company, LP. Early on in his career, he worked as a Graduate Researcher at Dartmouth College's Department of Physics and Astronomy, and as an Aerospace Engineer at NASA Glenn Research Center.
