Travis Johnson is a registered patent attorney with over a decade of experience in the field. He is the founding and managing partner of Ascentage Law PLLC, a law firm with offices in three states specializing in providing legal services to start-ups, entrepreneurs, and mid-size companies primarily in the technology space. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Utah before obtaining a J.D. in Intellectual Property from UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law, one of the premier intellectual property law schools in the country.

Travis has extensive technical and engineering experience working with lasers, amplifiers, optical test systems, MEMS devices, and display systems. He has been involved with the procurement, valuation, management, drafting, and prosecution aspects of patents since his engineering days in 2004. He has helped clients raise funds and navigate due diligence related to capital raising. Travis is passionate about facilitating connections for entrepreneurs and loves connecting dots.

He has brokered patents for his clients and is involved in the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. Travis was the former Owner at Travis L. Johnson - Reg. Patent Agent, Patent Agent at Luminus Devices, Research Assistant at Franklin Pierce Law Center, and Volunteer at New Hampshire Bar Association. Additionally, he was an IP extern at Rader, Fishman & Grauer PLLC, patent intern at Luminus Devices, teaching assistant at Franklin Pierce Law Center, and part-time technical writer at Clayton, Howarth, & Cannon P.C. He was also a Mechanical Engineer and Technical Writer at Evans & Sutherland.
