Dr. Helen Papagiannis is a prominent figure in the field of Augmented Reality (AR), who has spent the last 15 years exploring new modes of storytelling and experiences. She has worked in various roles, including as CIO at Infinity AR Inc. and Senior Research Associate at York University's Augmented Reality Lab. She is the author of the book "Augmented Human" and has been recognized for her pioneering work in the field by organizations such as Augmented World Expo, Women of Wearables, and Onalytica. Her presentations at global conferences and invited events, including TEDx, SXSW, and AWE, have helped her become an evangelist for AR. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication & Culture from York University and has also studied at Ryerson University, Sheridan College, and the University of Toronto. Dr. Papagiannis is a member of the Global Future Council on Virtual and Augmented Reality at the World Economic Forum and has also been a judge and executive member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) at The Webby Awards.
