Pushpendra Singh is an experienced finance professional with a passion for developing trading strategies. Singh holds an MBA from Université catholique de Louvain and a PGDM in Finance, Marketing, and Strategy from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Additionally, he earned a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Varanasi.
Singh's career began with Morgan Stanley Mumbai, where he worked on providing technological solutions for the equity swaps desk. From there, Singh moved on to work as a summer intern with the equity derivatives strategy team. He then started at RBS Hong Kong, working as a markets graduate analyst for the equity derivatives and cross-asset custom index APAC team. At RBS Hong Kong, he focused on creating and marketing in-house custom indices and structuring and pricing vanilla and exotic derivative products.
Singh later transitioned to a role at Millennium Partners as a quant research analyst (macro). There, he created quantitative cross-asset systematic strategies for investment, created macro-based investment strategies, performed macro research, and suggested cross-asset trading ideas. Additionally, Singh performed discretionary analysis on yield curve movements and created models for stat-arb.
Currently, Singh serves as an associate director for the portfolio strategy team at Temasek, where he focuses on quantitative strategies.
