Edward Matos is an accomplished engineer and social entrepreneur with a passion for improving energy access in Sub-Saharan Africa. Following the completion of his engineering degree in 2009, he co-founded Shamba Technologies, where he raised equity investment to design and launch the io™ system, the world's first "buy-as-you-go" solar lighting product. He has also worked as a structural and mechanical engineer placement student at Atkins and Arup, respectively. Currently based in Copenhagen, Matos serves as an electronics developer at 3Shape, where he is part of Denmark's fastest-growing technology companies. His expertise in engineering, design, research, and development, combined with his entrepreneurial drive, make him a valuable asset to any organization.
