I would characterize myself as a psychopharmacologist -- a psychiatrist with expertise in/emphasis on the biological contributors to mental health-related issues. This includes psychopharmacologic management of mood/anxiety/psychotic/cognitive/eating/substance use disorders, psychiatric issues resulting from complex medication (drug-drug) interactions, and/or psychiatric side-effects of non-psychotropic medications. I preferentially treat more complex and treatment-resistant cases and am passionate about the challenge of finessing a positive outcome. Collaborative care is high priority for me, i.e., appropriately involving all treatment team members for proper, comprehensive care.
