W. Gene Powell is a highly accomplished and award-winning digital marketing expert based in Toledo, Ohio. With almost two decades of experience working in design and advertising, Gene launched his digital agency Spoke with a mission to help businesses of all sizes to build and define their digital marketing platforms. Gene is known for his expertise in online branding, usability, and findability, and has won awards for his interactive, film, and print work. Gene is passionate about empowering customers through one-on-one relationships with brands and believes that the user is always in control. In addition to his role at Spoke, Gene is also the co-founder of Seed Coworking and StartUp Toledo, which provide collaborative workspaces and networking opportunities for the region's entrepreneurs, innovators, and creatives. A graduate of Bowling Green State University School of Art, Gene lives with his family in Perrysburg, Ohio, where he volunteers with several non-profit organizations.
