I currently manage meeting events across Europe, USA and the Middle East for the corporate and luxury travel industry. 
For each event there are one to one meetings with buyers and suppliers, networking activities to showcase the destination as well as gala dinners, award ceremonies, parties and education & speaker programmes. The events range in size from 100 to 700 people. The destinations over the past three years have included Miami, Switzerland, Malta, Edinburgh, Dubai, Croatia, Cancun, Madrid and many more. This year we will hold 13 events across 5 different brands (two of which are brand new). To each brand the concept is altered to cater for different markets which in turn changes our planning process and approach.

- Duties include:-
- Managing events with an approximate budget of £1,000,000 per year
- Liaising with our local DMC and hotel contact before and during our events
- Negotiating with suppliers including hotels, dinner venues and event partners to guarantee the best partnership
- Venue sourcing 
- Building and maintaining relationships with all our suppliers, hotels and partners
- Obtaining and liaising all aspects of sponsorship with Hotels & Venues
- Sourcing entertainment & key note speakers
- Contracting
- Conducting site inspections
- Budget management
- Onsite event management 
- Involvement in future events by creating proposals of new venue, supplier and entertainment options
- Organising travel arrangements (flight / train bookings, transfers, VISA application and accommodation)
- Any other pre-event logistic tasks, as required

Events Manager

- Responsible for the day to day management of the Support Secretaries and Doctors and assisting with the training of new and temporary staff proving support and advice when appropriate.
- Being an essential point of contact for patients and working closely with clinicians, specialists nurses and management.
- Being responsibly for, and actively managing speciality waiting lists, out patient procedure bookings on behalf of the Clinical Team to ensure that the patient reaches the point of treatment within the relevant time scales
- Highlighting any potential breaches or delays in the patients pathway to my Service Manager and Patient Pathway Team
- Disposing of outstanding uncashed clinics outcomes on PAS
- Monitoring the overbooking of clinics and arrange additional clinics to meet 18 week and cancer targets in conjunction with clinicians and Service Managers.
- Managing changes in clinic templates as directed by my Service Manager.
- Providing first point of contact for written and telephone queries on behalf of my Clinical Team, using my judgement to establish validity and priority of the contact.
- Exercising independent judgement and initiative when problems arise, taking the necessary actions to resolve the problems or referring to the appropriate person.
- Implementing any relevant Trust and Directorate policies on behalf of the Consultant Team.
- Supporting the day-to-day organisation and management responsibilities of the Clinical Team with diary management, arranging meetings, appointments etc. or cancellation of outpatients clinics or Endoscopy lists.
- Working and liaising with other departments in the hospital and other NHS Trusts in the area.
- Providing one-on-one support to whole Clinical Team when appropriate.

Duties included:-
- Working on The Corporate Reception Desk answering all staff and patient enquiries.
- Assisting the Corporate Team including; the Corporate Manager, Business Unit Manager, Sub Dean/ Clinical Manager, Operations Nurse Manager, Sterilising Manager, Patient Liaison Manger and The Head of Specialist Services with all administrative duties. Such as writing memo’s, setting up for meetings and conference calls, re-typing updated policies, dicta-typing, supporting the updating of all the Spill Kits in the hospital and creating spreadsheets and graphs to benchmark our clinical waste against other hospitals in the State. 
- Working in the Patient Flow Unit making appointments for patients and entering new and repeat referrals onto ISOH
