Miguel Lyons-Cavazos is a skilled and experienced musician, job coach, and director. He has worked with several organizations, including Tierra del Sol Foundation and Joyous Racket LLC, helping parents with children who have special needs or behavioral challenges. His approach focuses on building their children's confidence, focus, and listening skills using music, particularly drums. Miguel believes that music humanizes us and is an effective way to develop important life skills, such as self-confidence and collaboration. His past experience includes teaching music at various schools, including Paul Green School of Rock and Lets Make Music and Dance. Miguel was also formerly the Director for the FHAR Special Needs Drumline and Brazilian Youth Escola de Samba at Hough Foundation. From his work as a strategic director at Cheskin/Added Value to his time drumming with the band Shoebox Letters, Miguel brings a diverse set of skills and expertise.
