Tola Oniyangi
Tola Oniyangi is a recent graduate of Columbia University where she studied architecture and urban planning, earning both a Master of Architecture and a Master of Science degree. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Barnard College. As a computational designer at Intelligent City, Tola Oniyangi explores human-centered design through computation and data visualization in the context of architecture and urbanism. Prior to this, she worked as a researcher and data visualization contractor at BallotReady and Elicit Consulting, respectively. Tola also held positions as a computational design associate at Sidewalk Labs, architectural intern at PBDW Architects and Marble Fairbanks Architects, and a GIS student coordinator and graduate researcher at Columbia University's Center for Spatial Research. At the Temple Hoyne Buell Center for the Study of American Architecture, she served as a graduate research assistant. Tola's interests are centered around data-driven design and she has a proven track record for working with spatial data and data visualization. Through her extensive internships and assistantship, she has honed a range of skills like urban analytics, model shop, and geographic information systems (GIS). She has also worked as a teaching assistant at both Barnard College and Columbia University.
