Sumeet Sarin

Sumeet Sarin is a highly experienced neuro- and molecular biologist with a strong background in both industry and academia. With a Ph.D. in Genetics and Development, Neuroscience from Columbia University and a B.A. in Biology from Cornell University, he has honed his skills over the years.

Sumeet boasts 8 years of postdoctoral research specializing in retinal development. His expertise lies in developing functional and morphological assays to evaluate candidate genes in various model organisms. He is well-versed in conducting in vivo gene-editing studies, particularly using CRISPR/Cas9 technology, to explore the nuances of mouse retina development.

Apart from his research abilities, Sumeet Sarin is known for his strong communication skills and effective team management. His impressive publication track record is a testament to his contributions to the scientific community.

Currently, Sumeet serves as a Senior Scientist at Homology Medicines, Inc. Prior to this role, he held positions as Scientist II and Scientist within the same organization.
