Vijay Saraswat

Vijay Saraswat has an impressive career spanning academia and industry, that has made an impact in several fields including natural language understanding, concurrency, constraints, programming languages, and cognitive computing, to name a few. He holds a PhD from Carnegie-Mellon University and a B Tech from IIT Kanpur. Over the years, Vijay has held several key positions such as Managing Director and Technology Fellow at Goldman Sachs, Chief Scientist at IBM Research, Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Penn State University, and VP of Engineering and CTO at various tech companies. He is known for building interaction systems for professional domains and is currently hiring researchers in natural language understanding, knowledge extraction, and representation and reasoning.
