Maciej Płonka

Maciej Płonka is a well-versed UX researcher, designer, and coach with over a decade of experience in introducing mature UX practices into organizations. He began his journey in user experience back in 2009, working as the first employee of a small UX company that grew into the largest UX studio in Poland. Maciej has witnessed the evolution of the field, from purely web design-oriented projects to involvement in strategic, company-wide initiatives.

With a Master's degree in Euroculture from Uppsala universitet and Uniwersytet Jagielloński, Maciej also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Københavns Universitet and a Master's degree in Political Science from Wyższa Szkoła Europejska im. Ks. Józefa Tischnera.

As the UX Team Leader at EDISONDA, Maciej is responsible for instilling new culture and processes, coaching about UX, and accompanying his clients in the development of new products and services. He has also supervised User Experience postgraduate studies, taught and mentored about UX, and lectured at various universities.

Maciej believes that UX is not merely a set of tools and practices, but primarily a mindset. His passion for the subject extends to coaching people in UX not only in terms of intranets, websites, and apps but also in people and relations.
