Justin Rosen Smolen is a highly skilled project director, strategist, and facilitator with extensive experience leading and scaling national programs, cross-functional teams, and learning groups in education-focused organizations. He is an effective communicator and has worked with funders and senior professionals in crafting leadership development programs and accelerators for social entrepreneurs and educators across North America. Justin is driven by passion and a desire for equity and inclusion in collaborative environments where he works with teams to achieve shared goals and enhance organizational performance. He is interested in workplace learning and leadership development, social impact models, as well as the intersection of education, policy, and philanthropy as drivers of change.

Justin has an excellent academic background with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Jewish studies from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. He also has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Nonprofit management and policy and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Jewish/Judaic Studies, both from New York University.

Besides his academic pursuits, Justin has been associated with several organizations throughout his career. He is currently the Founder & Principal at Justin Rosen Smolen Consulting. He has also served as the Manager, Quest for Teaching Excellence at Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ, Director of Programs at Shalom Hartman Institute, National Director of Youth Programs at Keshet - Nonprofit, Associate Director, National Incubator for Community-Based Jewish Teen Education Initiatives at The Jewish Education Project, Director of Programs & Strategy at PresenTense, and Coordinator, Collegiate Leadership Internship Program at New York University. He also served as a Fellow for Insight: Schusterman Fellowship for Jewish community at Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation.
