John Ryder

John Ryder is a highly-experienced career services professional with an extensive background in higher education. With 30 years of experience, John has a wealth of knowledge and insight into the inner workings of MBA career offices, college admissions, and television production.

He has studied a variety of fields, including MEd in Counselor Education at the University of Virginia and an MFA in Drama at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additionally, Ryder has earned his Bachelor's degree in History from the State University of New York at Albany.

Throughout his successful career, he has worked for several organizations in various capacities. He is currently serving as an Associate Director at Goizueta Graduate Career Management Center at Emory University. Previously, he has worked as an Associate Director of Career Management Center at Kenan-Flagler Business School, Director of Career Services at Susquehanna University, Assistant Director at Appalchian State Univesity, Director of Admissions at Newberry College, Producer at Eric Lieber Productions, and Head of Story Research at Breakaway.

John’s professional expertise lies in impactful decision-making, job and internship search plan creation, and career development in MBA career offices. Besides his career, he loves to spend his free time managing his three shelter dogs.
