Josje Damsma, PhD, is a highly educated and experienced professional who has dedicated her career to promoting and supporting the importance of technical expertise and craftsmanship. As the Director of CrossOver, she works to develop innovative initiatives for work-to-work transitions, lifelong learning, and retaining technical professionals. Damsma holds a doctorate and research masters in history, as well as a masters in political science, all from the University of Amsterdam where she also taught as a lecturer. She has been a visiting scholar at Columbia University and has lectured at various institutions. Additionally, she has previously supervised thesis students at Nyenrode New Business School and has served as a panelist for BNR Nieuwsradio. Damsma co-founded JO Cadeau and was a participant in De Nationale Denktank. Her work focuses on ensuring that the technical workforce has the necessary skills to succeed in the continually evolving field of technology.
