Michael Steelman is a highly accomplished professional with expertise in higher education, alumni relations, career services, arts administration, and non-profit fundraising with over 18 years of experience in the field. Steelman holds a BMA in Voice Performance, Arts Administration from the University of Michigan and has completed a Graduate Certificate in Career and Workforce Development at The George Washington University.
Steelman's current role is Director of Alumni Career Management and Professional Networks at William & Mary, where he works to enhance the professional success of almost 100,000 alumni worldwide. He is also an active member of the University of Michigan Alumni Club in Washington, D.C., and a mentor in the Michigan in Washington Program.
Steelman is a passionate advocate for the arts and is a member of the Congressional Chorus. He believes that the arts should exist in workplaces, communities, and education systems, ranging from K-12 to higher education. His skills include higher education, building networks, volunteer management, alumni relations, webinars, career services, arts administration, development, fundraising, presenting, and LinkedIn.
