Heath Row is a journalist and marketing research expert with a vast experience in writing, editing, competitive intelligence, and media research. He began his journalism career as a reporter and copy editor for prominent papers such as the Janesville Gazette and San Francisco Examiner, where he mainly focused on business and technology. In the mid-'90s, Heath edited for the now-defunct Online Access magazine, where he founded the first newsstand publication about the Internet in the US. Later, he helped launch WebBusiness magazine and the Fast Company's Web site, where he founded the Company of Friends, the magazine's readers' network, and contributed to the magazine. In August 2005, Heath began working on Squidoo, a startup with entrepreneur Seth Godin, where he managed the learning community.

In 2006, he joined DoubleClick as a research manager and studied the impact of advertising on new technology and vice versa. When Google acquired DoubleClick, Heath turned his attention to research operations, industry intelligence, competitive intelligence, training, and public speaking, as well as the administration of the research team. As a research operations manager at Google, Heath manages comprehensive data sets used by statisticians to research how people use media across multiple screens.

Heath graduated from Northwestern University with a BS in Journalism and has been a judge at the WebAward Competition and the Webby Awards. He has also lectured at the University of Southern California and New York University, among other organizations. Additionally, Heath has been a member of the Editorial Review Board at the International Journal of Virtual Communities and Social Networking.
