Manage and provide Technical direction for the planning, design, development, implementation and review of railway track for projects undertaken by the Major Projects (MP) and The Office of Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery (OMTID) of the Public Transport Authority (PTA).

The role is also responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction and expert advice in relation to new construction, alterations, and maintenance of track assets in compliance with relevant standards, Codes of Practice and to satisfy the Rail Safety National Law.

Proposal Manager for Advisian in the development of a 300 km double track electrified railway between the capital Dhaka and Payra Port on the Indian ocean coast in Bangladesh.   The project also includes the development of an LNG and Container import Facility, two dry ports and adjacent industrial areas and an LGP pipeline from the ort to Dhaka

Proposal Manager  -  Dhaka to Payra Port Railway, Bangladesh  -  IM Power  Pty Ltd

PFS for developing the transportation task of copper concentrate from the two possible concentrator locations (West Plant and Skunk Camp) for upgrading the Resolution Copper underground mine near Superior in Arizona. Key elements of the project were:
- Scope the works for rehabilitating the 27 mile MARRCO railway to allow for 6000 tonnes of product to be transported per day across a railway that had been closed for 25 years. UPRR Industrial railroad standards were used as base engineering standards to provide input to the Class 4 estimate, including developing a rail loading facility at West Plant and tagging area at Magma Junction
- Develop a train loading facility linked to the existing operational Copper Basin Railway for 8000 tonnes of product per day.

Rail Design Manager │ Resolution Copper, Arizona USA │

Working for PTA’s Major Project Unit in the METRONET Planning Offices providing Major Rail Project Capability to ensure the handover of the project from METRONET Planning group to the Major Projects Group is performed to the correct level of detail and complexity, transfer of knowledge between project teams and identifying any work not performed in the planning stage that is required in the delivery phase

Design Integration & Delivery Coordinator │ METRONET │ Public Transport Authority of WA

Proposal Manager for the Technical Advisor (Advisian) in conjunction with a Financial Advisor (Deloitte) and a legal Advisor (Clifford Chance) for a PPP to develop:
- Rail connectivity between King Abdullah Port and Yanbu Industrial Estate (about 200 km)
- Development of Dry Ports at Riyadh and Dammam
This was a global proposal that used resources within the Worley Group from Vancouver, Seattle Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Dubai, Riyadh, Madrid, Cairo and London as well as subconsultants based in Madrid, Riyadh and Seattle

Proposal Manager  -  Rail Link Advisory Services  -  Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Review of the tender documentation for the YRE and TCL:
- Review and provide comments to PTA on the draft Permanent Way SWTC sections
- Assist the PTA Project Manager in finalising the relevant documentation
- Undertake the role of Project Engineer under the PTA EM4P as far as is necessary and appropriate for the delivery and sign off of the Permanent Way SWTC sections
- Attend SWTC project coordination Meetings
- Participate in any requirements analysis and traceability process initiated by PTA.

Track Project Engineer, Yanchep Rail Extension and Thornlie Cockburn Link Projects

Design manager for the redevelopment of Claremont Station including two new turn-back sidings as part of the operational integration of the new Forrestfield-Airport Link services, with overall accountability for all LDC engineering activities on the project, including activities undertaken by organisations contracted to the LDC. This included all activities in accordance with the PTA procedure for Engineering Management for Projects.

Design Manger - Suppliers Enginering Manager, Claremont Station Upgrade

As Tunnel and Track Manager formed part of the Leadership team for the GHD/AECOM Design Joint Venture supporting the Downer RCR Tomlinson JV for the tender of the Sydney Metro Line Wide Fit Out. Key Deliverable is the review of the Principal’s Stage 1 review, identification of missing design elements and Tender deign to fill these gaps for the tunnel and trackworks

Tunnel & Track Manager, Sydney Metro LW Tender

On behalf of WSA manage the rail interface of the proposed rail services to the new Western Sydney Airport at Badgery’s Creek, specifically;
o	Confirm that the spatial and geometric requirements of the proposed rail services being developed by WSU for TfNSW are integrated into the WSA and do not impact the ability of WSA to operate and develop in accordance with defined operational targets;
o	Identify interfaces between the proposed rail services and WSA that are incomplete and require further development;
o	Report changes from Rail Feasibility V1 to Rail Feasibility V2; and
o	Provide initial guidance on the rail construction requirements spelt out in the WSA Project Deed have been allowed for in the development of the WSA layout.

Techncal Advisor - Rail, Western Sydney Airport

Organisational management responsibility for the growth, development and performance of the rail team within Western Australia. Responsible for the direction and guidance of rail discipline leads, project managers, and their respective teams to ensure successful outcomes on projects within their area of expertise and continuing the growth of the GHD’s rail teams reputation, workload and capability within the WA and Australian market

Technical Director -Rail Infrastructure,  Rail Team Lead WA

Recruited specifically to manage the rail infrastructure & systems team for GHD comprising the following elements: Perway; Overhead Line Equipment; SCADA; 22kV HV; 25kV Traction Power; and Noise & Vibration. In addition managed the interface with the Signalling and Communications (S&C) provider to provide the required civil infrastructure for the S&C equipment and cabling.

Principal Consultant Rail AUW

As Principal Rail Engineer for WorleyParsons in WA was key rail engineer on the following projects:
1. African Minerals Limited: Narrow Gauge Haematite / Saprolite Operation (Estimated Rail Cost US$300M), PMC Manager, Rail – Management of the multi-disciplinary rail team responsible for the development of all rail-related aspects of a 60km narrow gauge spur line to Tagrin Point from Lunsar, Sierra Leone, including final report and estimate for a definitive feasibility study.
2. Australian Premium Iron (API): Flinders Mine Pre-Feasibility Study, Stage 1 Study Manager – Management of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the development of all rail-related aspects of a new 150km spur line from the proposed API standard gauge mainline to the Flinders Mining Limited tenements.
3. African Minerals Limited: Standard Gauge Magnetite Operation (Estimated Rail Cost US$1B+), Lead Engineer, Rail – Management of the bid preparation and scope definition of the rail component for the DFS and FEED of new pit-to-port operation in Sierra Leone, Africa.  The rail component consists of a 200km heavy haul railway form the mine site to the port at Tagrin Point.  Upon being awarded the project, Manager of the multidisciplinary rail team for the development of all rail related aspects including final report and estimate for a DFS.

In addition to these projects, as Principal Engineer provided technical overview, scheduling and cost input to the following projects / proposals:

Principal Rail Engineer

As Lead Track Engineer: was seconded to the The Pilbara Infrastructure Company on the FMG T45 Project: Perway Infrastructure (AU$185M),  Initially tasked with the coordination of all track and operational criteria and the Signals and Communications requirements for the project with the alignment design, this role expanded to a site based role managing the track and bridges construction package including;
-  Design and construct package for the safe working system and communications backbone
-  Design and supply of all perway materials;
-  Interface with service providers such as Horizon Power, Telstra etc;
-  FMG train operations personnel including monitoring of contractors safe working systems;
-  Ensuring that local pastoralist requirements were met; and
-  Commissioning of the rolling stock and completed rail system

Lead Track Project Engineer

As Senior Project Engineer Rail tasked with the coordination and management of the rail project within the greater civil/structural tunnelling project.  Key aspects of this role included:
-  Development of rail safety management and construction plans including their implementation for over 100 closures of the West Perth rail yard between Perth Station and West Leederville/Leederville Stations
-  Implementation of a successful trial in the Roe St Tunnel Dive Structure of the Pandrol Vanguard track fastening system – a first for the Southern Hemisphere and the following rationalisation of track structure to remove Floating Slab Track whilst allowing N&V criteria at critical locations to be met.
-  Integration of Package A track, S&C and OHTE design requirements into Package F works
-  Coordination of enabling works including temporary realignment, piling and dewatering works in Perth Yard,
-  Integration of Emergency Services, power supply, communications systems into the Package F works including scheduling of NMR activities with LKJV works
-  Interface management with external contractors on other packages directly affecting the contract works,
-  Implementation of S&C works to enable the staging works required in East Perth yard
-  Interface with key services including track structure and alignment modifications required to accommodate the Claisebrook main drain and the main communications link to Asia near Milligan St footbridge
