Marcelo Magallon is an experienced software developer with a strong background in computer graphics, simulation, high performance computing clusters, distributed systems, and scientific visualization techniques. He obtained his BSc in Physics and MSc in Physics from Universidad de Costa Rica and later pursued a PhD in Computer Science from Universität Stuttgart. Marcelo has worked for various organizations, including Grafana Labs, Sylabs Inc., and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he has held positions as a software engineer, embedded software developer, and team lead. He has also taught as a lecturer at the University of Costa Rica and served as a Ph.D. Student at the Visualization and Interactive Systems group. Marcelo is an avid supporter of Linux and has contributed to various open-source projects, including Debian.
