Jian Zhu is a versatile research and development lead with over 15 years of experience in mobile device localization. He is a proactive, collaborative, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and hard-working individual with excellent project management and communication skills. Zhu has proven problem-solving and analytical skills in developing 3D hybrid localization and tracking systems for mobile and IoT applications. He has an extensive background in data acquisition and analysis obtained from cellular systems and hardware design from schematic to prototype. Zhu is experienced with various programming languages, including MATLAB, PYTHON, C, Java, and C++.

Zhu's expertise lies in leading remote working teams, improving overall system performance, hybrid positioning technology in radio localization, and data mining. He is experienced in managing projects with team members across different time zones and motivating individuals while tracking progress. Zhu has extensive knowledge in error source analysis, estimation theory, and Kalman Filter application, and RF propagation modeling.

Zhu's work is verified by CTIA-Stage Z location testbed to provide z-axis estimation within 3m@80% of the time. He is actively working to improve 3D location and tracking accuracy and availability for mobile devices across challenging environments, including indoors, tunnels, subways, and basements. His goal is to combine all measurements available from mobile devices to offer better accuracy in positions where other systems cannot.
