Christina Karapataki is a venture investor with a keen focus on platform technologies that can tackle climate problems, especially in the electricity and industrial sectors. With five years of experience in corporate venture capital, she now invests on behalf of Breakthrough Energy Ventures since 2017, where she evaluates both traditional oil & gas and clean energy technologies. Her passion for finding solutions that can be commercially deployed at scale and make a meaningful impact in reducing greenhouse gas emissions has earned her recognition, such as the Forbes 30 Under 30 Energy category in 2017 and the Global Corporate Venturing Rising Stars award. Christina has a background in High School Diploma from American Academy Larnaca, BA (Hons) and MEng from the University of Cambridge, and a Master’s Degree from MIT, where she also completed an exchange program.
