Alfonso Mouriz Villar, PhD

Alfonso Mouriz Villar, PhD is an accomplished scientist with a strong background in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Development, and Epigenetics. With over 8 years of research experience, Alfonso has developed a passion for scientific communication and dissemination. He earned his PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, and Biomedicine from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and has since studied a Master MSL (Medical Science Liaison) at Talento Farmacéutico y Sanitario Business School.

Alfonso has worked as a Medical Scientific Liaison in Oncology at AstraZeneca, where he leverages his expertise in Immunology and Development to support medical affairs initiatives. Prior to this, he served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at INIA, a Visiting Research Fellow at University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD student in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at INIA. Alfonso gained vast experience in MSc Research Fellow at INIA and Visiting Student at CNIC and Centro Nacional de Biotecnología-CSIC.

As an MSL, Alfonso is focused on developing his career in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in the field of Oncology. He brings with him an analytical mindset and strong communication skills to bridge the gap between science and medicine.
