Mark Malven is a highly experienced and accomplished legal professional in the fields of corporate, finance, technology, and sourcing transactions. He obtained his J.D. cum laude in Law from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. Mark has extensive experience working with both established and emerging businesses, providing them with his expert legal guidance and acting as their outside general counsel and strategic advisor. He has also served as Vice President of Business Development and General Counsel for a dotcom startup, helping them navigate the early stages of growth and securing multiple rounds of venture funding.

Mark is the lead author of PLI treatise Technology Transactions: A Practical Guide to Drafting and Negotiating Commercial Agreements. He has also handled a wide range of strategic technology transactions involving development (content and technology), consulting, sponsored university research, manufacturing, licensing, distribution, value-added reseller, private-label, content licensing, site linking, acquisition, and joint venture relationships.

Mark is a recognized expert and speaker on technology and sourcing transactions, having been one of the primary negotiators for two of the largest IT outsourcing transactions ever undertaken, involving billions of dollars in services. He has also advised and represented businesses and investors in enterprise formation, venture capital and other private financing, public financing, acquisitions and divestitures, and strategic alliances.
