Steven Snyder is a seasoned strategic innovation coach and entrepreneur whose career spans three decades of spotting trends and strategically innovating to accelerate business growth. Steven's expertise lies in helping organizations identify and leverage hidden opportunities for disruptive businesses to innovate and gain a competitive advantage. His journey began in Microsoft over 30 years ago when he became the first general manager of a business unit, leading the Development Tools business unit to win against an arch-rival. He later founded a company that sold the first recommendation engine to Amazon and other corporations. Steven Snyder has vast experience with the Lean Startup methodology, teaching entrepreneurs at the University of Minnesota and leading large organizations seeking to apply these principles across the enterprise.
An Ivy-league graduate, Steven holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, and a B.S. from Drexel University. He has authored the award-winning book Leadership and the Art of Struggle and spoken worldwide, sharing his valuable insights with entrepreneurs and business leaders.
Steven has served on the Board of Trustees at Capella University, as a mentor at Minnesota Cup and served as a former Adjunct Faculty at the Carlson School of Management, St. Thomas Opus College of Business, and University of Minnesota. Additionally, he has held executive positions at Snyder Leadership Group, Net Perceptions, Personnel Decisions International, Microsoft, and currently runs his own consultancy- Snyder Strategic.
