As a Sales and Marketing specialist for GSK, I helped to bring success to several business units by utilizing strong leadership and management talents, “team player” attitude and the natural ability to establish consensus among cross-functional lines. Within two years in the organization, I had been ranked as a top sales representative and earned selection into numerous development assignments to include Field Training, Regional Development, and Regional Recruiting. As sales growth, brand development, product launch, market share, and operational efficiency were my primary goals, I was proud to lead various teams to unprecedented success by guiding underperforming territories to surpass its sales goals. I embodied GSK's motto: to help customers improve the quality of life by enabling them to do more, feel better, and live longer; and my career with GSK included responsibilities as a Sales Account manager for the largest corporate medical group within the United States Midwest Region, Sales and Marketing Trainer for sales professionals in the area of business acumen, Product trainer who had aggressively planned, coordinated and devised business plans using key opinion leaders, clinical data, and promotional material and as a Customer Relationship Management expert.

What I took away from my time in the U.S. Army were key multi-tasking and delegation capabilities with a strong ability to plan, prioritize, and manage complex projects under aggressive timelines. Various assignments during my tenure took me all over the U.S. and around the world to include destinations in Africa, Europe and Asia. I have held numerous roles to include Health Facilities Planner, Logistics Coordinator, Purchasing Manager, Company Commander, and Account Manager. In support of my country, I was deployed to Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Oman two months after 9/11 during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Highlights of my tenure with the U.S. Army included: Regional Logistics Manager for several Medical units within the Southeastern United States (8-state region); Developed and authorized procurement budget of over $2.5 million for 34 subordinate units; Company Commander (84 subordinate soldiers) - #1-ranked Captain of 325 Medical Service Corps Officers; Deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I concluded my military career with an honorable discharge as a Captain.
